When you consider all of the emergency situations that you could be presented with, many of them come with the possibility of being without power. While you may shrug this off because you’re fine living without air conditioning or TV, think about all of the food that you keep in your freezer, and how unbearably stuffy your house would get without A/C in the middle of August. For longer periods of time, you will want to be able to have contact with people outside of your home.
